OUR GUIDE
TO St. Ives
St. Ives Surf School
You can learn to surf with highly-trained and dedicated watermen and women in a safe, fun and friendly environment, located on the blue flag awarded Porthmeor Beach. The surf school benefits from a unique combination of exposure to Atlantic swells and good protection from the prevailing wind. A great environment for learning to surf.
You can also hire paddle board and kayak equipment on Porthminster Beach, just opposite! Guests can use our 10% discount code, just ask reception for more info.
TATE St. Ives
A ten minute walk away Tate St Ives stands boldly over looking Porthmeor Beach and the Atlantic Ocean. The gallery displays a mix of local artists work including Barbara Hepworth and Patrick Heron along side modern and contemporary art from around the world; an interesting and fun mix in a recently refurbished building, with a lovely Cafe at the top!
St. Ives Tennis club
The Club is located directly opposite us and if you’d like to play you can simply visit their website and book online. There are two synthetic clay courts, the first of their kind in Cornwall. A friendly atmosphere and courts with a view!
